New flyers and business cards for Chicago Bike Buddies.
I found this the other day. Thought it was funny. Heee he! (Reference)
My version of accidental art is when the CAD program does what it wants instead of following commands. Artios does this all the time because we have an older version… and I hate it. Once in a while the preview function of the fillet in solidworks is beautiful. I’ll screen capture it next time. Then again whenever I can do anything successfully in solidworks it’s beautiful :).
I was tidying and sorting through some stuff when I came across my portfolio from college! Some of the paintings are horrifically embarrassing but some of the images I still have some fond memories of making.
I am sharing my favorites as to not let these get lost into time. The originals are long gone and all I have are some printouts that magically haven’t been destroyed since 2005.
This one was always one of my favorites as I loved painting the animals at the time. This was a set of behemoths (green) in the hold of Noah’s ark with some friendly rhinos, a hippo, some weird looking elephants, and an ugly bug.
This skydiving dog got me a lot of praise at the time. I think it was the personality/face of the dog.
So I have not been posting recently because I have been super busy with some freelance work! Yay! I have been creating some 3d renders and Solidworks models for two different companies on top of trying to get some personal work done, volunteering with Chicago Bike Buddies and having a full time job. I love being busy.
An old sketch from the past did pass my way and I thought I’d share. A few years ago i was into combining human anatomy with other things, mainly plants. This one however I tried to combine metal with anatomy on an 18x 24 or whatever sheet. It is totally lost for the ages and only a crappy phone pic left! I’d love to make and finish some like this.
